Selling tips

TemplatesWork is always working to improve the selling chances for our members. As a member of our author pool, you will have access to a range of resources that are meant to improve your knowledge of the industry as well as the specific protocols that we use to run our projects. Here are some tips for sellers:

  • Make sure that you own the full copyright for the template that you are selling. A short text document should be added to the application with the verification of your ownership. The buyers are not likely to buy templates that breach copyright agreements
  • Templates should be accompanied by a relevant explanation of the content that they have and some guidance on where they might be used. TemplatesWork encourages sellers to give as much detail as possible to help the buyer when they are making a purchasing decision.
  • It is possible to present multiple templates in a given day. The seller should not limit their participation in the TemplatesWork program. Higher numbers of templates mean greater profits for the seller.
  • The use of the TemplatesWork website will give sellers access to many buyers that might post feedback on the templates that you are selling. Make sure that you read all the feedback and try to act on it in order to improve your sales figures.
  • The sellers on the TemplatesWork website are advised to combine a good mixture of generic content and specific content. There are client groups for each type of template. Therefore you sales will increase if you have covered all the bases.
  • Try to create brand awareness on the TemplatesWork by submitting many templates on a given directory. This will increase the customer awareness of your style. It might also lead to specific orders for you products in the long run.
  • Make sure that you recycle the rejection templates by carrying out all the amendments that have been suggested by the TemplatesWork team. The high quality work tends to sell. If you are consistently good in your presentations then the customers will order your products on a regular basis.
  • Always review the status of your account on the Templates Work website to ensure that you are responding to customer inquiries. There might be a forum in the future where clients post their requirements for the sellers to respond.
Resubmit Rejected Templates

TemplatesWork will reject your templates if the quality is not good or proper file is not included or any issue with copyright and etc. The sellers are advised to read the terms and conditions before they start posting so that they can avoid the rejection status. If there has been a specific rejection reason then the seller will receive an email notification. It is important that they read all the information and make the necessary amendments.

  • Rejected items can be resubmitted for consideration once the necessary amendments have been made. Sellers are advised to follow the protocols that are indicated in the email notification from the TemplatesWork .
  • Accounts that have serious problems might be placed in review before the rejection status is triggered. It is important that you provide the Templates Work with all the information that they need.
  • Issues of copyright can lead to rejections and the seller must provide the TemplatesWork with evidence of their ownership or active management of the product that they are trying to sell.
  • In the case of a dispute about the rejection reason the seller is advised to contact the TemplatesWork business management team who will be able to write them further explanations on the reasons for the rejection.
  • The production of substandard work will not be tolerated at the TemplatesWork. Products that do not seem to meet industry standards will not be approved.
  • We will not market or sell rejected templates until amendments have been made to an acceptable standard. Multiple rejections might lead to a suspension of the account until the matters have been resolved.
  • Breach of copyright will lead to a permanent rejection of the item in question. The TemplatesWork is not prepared to market items that breach the copyright of other sellers. This rule applies even where the victim is not part of the TemplatesWork program.
  • Sellers are forbidden from resubmitting rejected items under a different name. You need to provide the TemplatesWork with the amended template so that it can go back on the sales list. Please do not submit rejected templates under a different title.
  • Any queries on the TemplatesWork account should be directed to the appropriate customer services team so that they can resolve the problems that have been identified by the seller. We are always working to improve our services.
Copyright

The TemplatesWork takes copyright infringement very seriously. Sellers are protected by a series of terms and conditions. Likewise there is an expectation that the sellers will own the copyright on any of the items that they put on the TemplatesWork website for sale. These are the general terms that relate to copyright:

  • The buyers do not claim any intellectual property on the template. That right remains with the seller. TemplatesWork is the broker service that links the two parties. The protection of copyright is the responsibility of the seller, the buyer and the TemplatesWork. Please notify us if you believe that there has been any breach of copyright in the work that is published for sale.
  • The copyright of the template remains with the seller regardless of any modifications that are done by the buyer in order to make the template work for them. TemplatesWork will arbitrate any disputes. Buying a license that allows the modification of the template does not transfer the copyright from the seller to the buyer.
  • The templates on the TemplatesWork website are provided by the sellers “as is” and therefore there are no warranties of any kind that arise. TemplatesWork is not liable for any damages as a result of the use of the template. Any legal disputes should be referred to the customer services manager. We will not entertain consequential damages as a result of the activities of the buyer.
  • It is imperative that sellers do not infringe the copyright of others in the products that they sell on the TemplatesWork website. The onus is on sellers to ensure that they fully own the exclusive copyright to any templates that they market. A discovery of a copyright breach might exclude the author from further work.
  • Sellers are requested to include a text file with their copyright when they send templates for sale. That is a minimum requirement for the TemplatesWork but any other proof of ownership is welcome.
  • Sellers should immediately notify the TemplatesWork if they find that their template is being used contrary to the terms and conditions of our agreement. The business manager at the TemplatesWork will try to resolve the problem at the earliest opportunities. There will be a temporary withdrawal of items that have significant copyright disputes.
